Why does that sound funny to me? It's not funny, right? Also crazy: It's 10pm and full daylight. Wow, Alaska.

No mention of what state the warrants were issued from? Was he armed or not? Was it his home? Was anyone else home? A remote vehicle? I'm baffled by how bad this is. Also, I was thinking last night that, at least since this is Fairbanks it probably won't turn out to be an unarmed black man. Doh! |

From his email addy it looks like he is the schools reporter. Now I feel bad. The paper probably has reduced staffing and high turnover. |

haha. Yeah I was the one who called the newspaper and said something was going on. Apparently the guy was at a school board meeting and drove over. Apparently he skipped his court date, had a $40,000 bail that he skipped, was a felon for grand theft auto as well as possession and intent to sell drugs. When the cops served him a warrant he pulled a gun and slammed the door shut. There are meth houses all over the freaking place up here so they had to take every precaution available. The cops were talking to no one other than reporters.
